OK, so since I have the writing style mirroring a seven year old, I think I'm going to make this blog more pictures and less writing. Hopefully I can put some good pictures in to really get you entertained! To begin, I must backtrack a bit. I finished teaching a few weeks ago, went to Deep Creek Lake in Maryland with my friend Rob and his girlfriend Kayla, and her friend
Parvin. We white water rafted, ate, ate, and most importantly, I found my true love - go carting. Talk about an intense pent-up rage that
came alive when on that course! I may quit teaching and be a professional go-cartist, like Frankie Munez or Nick Hogan, except he's in jail. Details. I only buy Interstate batteries to this day.
Then, I had my friend Adam come up from Charlotte this past weekend. We had a great time! We went to a comedy club, saw some old friends, and oh, helped another friend, Will, move. Below is a picture of my friend Will, me, Adam, and Rob. We are at a bar in Clarendon. I'm no psychic, but I'm thinking that most of my pictures will be at a bar, in a city, with someone I know. This is not a problem for me.
A few comments about this photo: 1. Yes, Adam and I are wearing the same shirt, and no, we are not dating. 2. We are at RiRa near my house in Arlington for some 80s cover band. And, no, they did not respond to constant chants of "Free Bird". 3. Yes, Rob is red. Asians possess this "glow" when they drink alcoholic beverages, like 40s and white Russians (or red Asians). I looked up the reason for this and here's what I found on Yahoo Answers: The first step toward metabolizing alcohol is to convert it to acetaldahyde. It has been found that 50% of the Pacific Rim Asian population possesses an atypical alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) causing flushing in the human body. The more you know ***..... I should be a doctor, not a go-cartist.
I'm now in Charlotte visiting some family and hopefully buying a camera. This is good for you because I can take some great pictures for your pleasure. In the coming weeks I'll be off to San Fran, LA, St. Louis, and beyond! Then, it's back to teaching. Yes, I do have a job, sometimes. I hope you enjoyed the first installment. Hopefully, there will be more...
